The Hunter Legend 326 is a 32-foot cruising sailboat designed by Glenn Henderson and built by Hunter Marine from 2001 onward. Known for its spacious interior, easy handling, and comfortable cockpit, it was designed primarily for coastal cruising and family sailing. With a fractional B&R rig, walk-through transom, and accommodations for 4–6 people,
the Legend 326 offers a good balance of sailing performance and onboard comfort, making it a popular choice for couples and small families seeking an affordable cruiser.
Meganza benefits from new Raymarine instruments and Garmin Chartplotter, heating and has been well looked after by current owner.
The Hunter Legend 326 (also known as the Hunter 326) features a solid, hand-laid fiberglass hull below the waterline and a balsa-cored deck and superstructure. High-impact areas are heavily reinforced with hybrid E-glass and Kevlar laminates, while the rig highlights the signature stainless steel cockpit arch and swept-back B&R fractional design.
Hull & Deck Construction
The boat utilizes an optimized fiberglass layup process tailored for cruising stability and durability:
Hull Laminate: Hand-laid solid fiberglass beneath the waterline, transitioning to a balsa-cored deck and hull topsides for weight reduction and stiffness.
Kevlar Reinforcement: Strategic layers of hybrid E-glass and Kevlar were built into the layup, specifically reinforcing highimpact areas from the stem to the forward edge of the keel.
Hull-Deck Joint:
An outward-facing flange is fastened and bonded, often covered by a rigid rubrail that protects the joint during docking.
Keel & Rudder
The boat was designed by Glenn Henderson for stability and responsive handling.
Keel Shoal Twin keel 1.32m / 4.4ft).
Rudder: An internally mounted, spade-type rudder controlled via wheel steering.

"Meganza" was our delightful introduction to sailing in 2018. It was then part of the "North West Venturers Yacht Club" fleet in Anglesey Wales, where Meganza was listed on a plaque for it's previous owner's achievement of winning their "St. Kilda" trophy. In addition to sailing to St. Kilda, he also took it to the Scilly Isles and Barcelona.
We took Meganza to a new home in Preston Marina, Lancashire. From there we sailed to Douglas IOM several times. In 2025 we sailed from Preston to Largs to explore the beautiful Scottish Isles. After an amazing 2025 season in Scotland we brought her back to her current location, Clyde Marina Ardrossan where she now awaits her new owner.
In 2023 there was extensive refurbishment with stripping down, re-coating the hull, keels and sail drive and then finishing with copper coating. There was one owner before us from new 2002 - 2018. A survey was commissioned by us (available) that had recommendations to replace seacocks, through hull fittings and rudder repairs before proceeding
sailing. These repairs were paid for by the then owner and the completed work observed by us before we purchased in July 2018. The standing rigging was replaced in 2019. In July 2024 the Diesel engine underwent a service and Inspection that included the inspection and replacement of the injectors. Annual oil, filter and impeller changes carried
out by us.
